JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Furutåskolan is a F6 school with approximately 300 students, located in Teleborg with Södra Bergundasjön as its nearest neighbor. Here, students and staff meet in a safe and welcoming environment where each individual has the opportunity to develop based on their circumstances and feel confident in their own abilities. Since autumn 2025, we are in new, modern facilities. During breaks, we offer organized activities and present staff to create safety and community.

We work on language development in all subjects and use structured methods such as STL, genre pedagogy, and the circle model to make learning clear. Our school library is staffed every day and is an active part of the teaching.

Our student health team consists of an engaged group that works closely with students and staff to promote both learning and well-being. We use both digital and analog teaching materials to create a varied and accessible learning experience for all students.

As a student coordinator, you are a central part of our student health work. You work closely with students, guardians, and staff to create good conditions for learning and well-being. The role includes both promoting, preventive, and remedial measures, and you are an important part of the student health team as well as a trusted adult during the students' school day.

The tasks are varied and involve close collaboration with colleagues, student health, and school management. Examples of tasks include:

  • Support students in social and emotional challenges
  • Be a safe and present adult in the school environment, both in classrooms and during breaks
  • Collaborate with colleagues, student health, and school management
  • Contribute to work on attendance, safety, and study environment
  • Maintain contact with guardians and, if necessary, external actors
  • Work with documentation related to student support measures

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience working with children and youth, preferably in a school environment. You thrive in a role where you switch between planned work and urgent interventions, and where communication with students, staff, guardians, and external actors is a natural part of everyday life. You need to be confident, attentive, and clear in your communication and have a solution-focused and professional approach.

To thrive in this role, it is important that you are calm, secure, responsible, and stable. You are comfortable working independently while also easily collaborating with educators, student health, and principals. You have good collaboration skills, actively listen, and handle conflicts constructively. We also believe that you are good at maintaining relationships over time, take the initiative to make contacts, and enjoy a job that is both varied and eventful.

We are looking for someone with a university degree in pedagogy, social work, or education that the employer deems equivalent.
